Pirates have a place in the history of New Jersey, and they left behind some important souvenirs in and around the state.
New Jersey, with its ocean coastline and barrier islands, was ideal for pirate activity.
Discover some of the famous pirates who frequented the Jersey coast including Captain William Kidd and Blackbeard.
Using a PowerPoint presentation, as well as props and costumes, historian Fred Eckert will share how pirates of the 18th century lived.
This program is appropriate for ages 13 and up.
Fred Eckert is an Educational Speaker who expounds upon New Jersey's vast history. Mr. Eckert graduated Suma Cum Laude from Centenary University with a degree in History.
