Learn about Hispanic artists and their work while creating images through the process of monoprinting. This bilingual workshop is facilitated by Ecuadorian-American artist Sandra Fernandez.
This monoprint workshop is recommended for families, including children 5 and older, accompanied by an adult. Students will learn how to create images on a printing plate that will be transferred onto paper through the process of monoprinting and the use of a portable printing press. Different techniques will be used to achieve various effects. Students will learn about Hispanic artists and their work. Facilitated by Sandra Fernandez, an Ecuadorian-American artist who has taught printmaking for over 20 years in different venues around the country.

Este taller de arte se recomienda para familias, incluyendo niños mayores de 5 años acompañados por un adulto. Los estudiantes aprenderán a crear imágenes sobre una plancha acrílica para luego ser transferidas a papel, mediante el uso de una prensa portátil. Diferentes técnicas serán utilizadas para crear varios efectos. Los estudiantes aprenderán acerca de artistas Hispanos y sus obras. Presentado por Sandra Fernández, artista ecuatoriana con experiencia de más de 20 años enseñando la técnica del grabado en distintos talleres a través de los Estados Unidos.
