Author and illustrator Barbara DiLorenzo will teach the steps required to put story ideas to paper.
Artists will learn how to build a story from the brainstorming stage to the plotting and planning of the story structure. Artists will use thumbnails to sketch ideas and learn how to develop these into a dummy format, which is something used to submit to editors and art directors. Published author/illustrator Barbara DiLorenzo will bring her books, thumbnails/sketches, and dummies to use as an example. No artistic skills are required.
Will you need a special accommodation? If so, please contact the library and provide at least two weeks notice prior to the event date and the library will make every effort to honor all requests. Thereafter, requests will still be considered and may have less of a chance of being honored.
