Marilyn Visakay, certified appraiser, will discuss how American jewelry evolved throughout 20th century America. Tips to safeguard and preserve vintage and antique jewelry will also be addressed.
This lecture is a brief overview that highlights how American jewelry evolved and changed throughout the decades in 20th century America. Marilyn Visakay will discuss (historically) the shapes, materials used and the impact that culture, industrialization, Hollywood and the fashion industry had on American designs, designers and manufacturers. The audience will also learn how to safeguard and preserve their vintage and antique treasures.
Marilyn Visakay is a certified, accredited appraiser, consultant and lecturer with over 25 years experience in the field of antiques and decorative arts.
