Dr. Mark R. Vogel, a clinical psychologist, has studied the Jack the Ripper case and written about him in his novel, "The Ripper's Time".
Just in time for Halloween.
From August 7 to September 10 in 1888, Jack the Ripper terrorized the Whitechapel district in London's East End. He killed at least five prostitutes and mutilated their bodies in an unusual manner, indicating that the killer had a knowledge of human anatomy. Jack the Ripper was never captured and remains one of England's and the world's, most infamous criminals.
But who was he? Was he a doctor? Why did he keep some of his victim's organs? Are the famous Ripper letters authentic or a hoax? How was he able to commit the murders without being caught? Did he have an accomplice? Why did he stop killing?
This entire story will be discussed with then and now photos. Dr Mark Vogel has reviewed original police files and visited the murder sites in England.
