The Hillsborough Library welcomes back the extraordinary vocal talents of Rhonda Denét, flanked by the Silver Fox Songs Trio, to perform jazz and soul standards by notable ladies of song.
Rhonda Denét and the Silver Fox Songs Trio will perform a collection of jazz standards and soul classics that spans 5 decades. The group invites you on a musical journey from a time when the "First Lady Of Song," Ella Fitzgerald graced the stage to when the "Queen of Soul," Aretha Franklin ruled the airways. In addition to Ella and Aretha, this showcase pays tribute to Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Nina Simone, Nancy Wilson, Etta James, Gladys Knight, Natalie Cole and others. After celebrating all who have influenced her, Rhonda will share some of her original music. Through the music, the magic and the message, there is something for everyone! This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Hillsborough Public Library.
Will you need a special accommodation (including food allergy if applicable to the program)? If so, please contact the library and provide at least two weeks notice prior to the event date and the library will make every effort to honor all requests. Thereafter, requests will still be considered and may have less of a chance of being honored.
