This includes selecting and adapting material, developing a production concept, and inspiring a love of Shakespeare in the younger generation.  'Peek behind the curtain' as Mr. Crowe shares a unique perspective from the longest-running Shakespeare theater on the East Coast and New Jersey's largest professional theatre company dedicated to Shakespeare's canon and other classic masterworks.


 Presenter, Brian B. Crowe is currently in his twenty fifth season with The Shakespeare Theatre. STNJ credits include: William Shakespeare's Long Lost First Play  (“Top 10 Plays in NJ” – NJArts), A Christmas Carol, Titus Andronicus, The Bungler, Coriolanus, Timom of Athens, The Winter's Tale, Henry VI: Blood and Roses, Love's Labor Lost, Julius Caesar, and The Taming of the Shrew.The Star-Ledger called Mr. Crowe “one of the state’s most ingenious directors” (Love's Labor Lost ) and named him Best Director of a Drama (Julius Caesar and Wonderland), as well as one of three “theatre artists to look for in the new millennium.” He has directed dozens of productions for the Theatre’s Shakespeare LIVE! in-school touring program. He is a teacher, mentor, and director with the Theatre’s Academy and Professional Training Program. Mr. Crowe holds BFAs in Directing and Acting from Wright State University, and was a Fellow of the 2000 International Salzburg Shakespeare Seminar. He is also a member of the Executive Committee for the Shakespeare Theatre Association.
