April 22 is Earth Day.
These photographs are part of a current project to raise awareness about the importance of nature conservation efforts, and in particular, protecting the night sky from light pollution.
Preserving the night environment helps support human health and heritage, and preserve wildlife habitats. Night photography offers a chance to capture and document scenes that few people ever see nowadays due to artificial light, and air glow pollution.
