First timers and those with any meditation experience are welcome. You may participate in this class seated on the floor or in a chair, whichever is most comfortable.
This a virtual, live-streamed interactive guided meditation led by Jean Leigh. You will be invited to introduce yourself, including where you are from, how you are feeling today, and if you have a joy to share or a problem that we can help you carry. This is followed by a few minutes of simple seated stretching which relaxes and prepares the body for sitting still during the meditation.
The guided meditation is usually a "walk" where there is a message of guidance that you receive from your own inner strength and wisdom in your own mind. Using your imagination, you will consider sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and touch. The mind integrates these senses as reality, and thus creates relaxation as evidenced by lower blood pressure, slowed pulse, and a calm state of mind.
Following the program, you will be invited to share where you went, what you saw, and how you feel now.
At the conclusion of the program please feel free to take a brief online survey here:
